Established in 1898 as a stage stop between Cody, Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park, (the original horse barn is still a part of the ranch) Crossed Sabres Ranch was the first dude ranch in Wyoming and the west. This mountain ranch has Libby Creek running through the property and is in the heart of the Shoshone National Forest with the Absaroka and Washakie wildernesses as our neighbors. Wyoming still is today what America was yesterday.
The Main Lodge includes the dining room where we serve hearty home-made meals and the coffee is always on: our recreation room has a pool table, piano and lots of other activities for the entire family, as well as a cozy sitting room complete with fireplace and reading material about the local history, flora and fauna. Up stairs you will find a comfortable, spacious sitting room with a view of the valley and a large log bar serving soft drinks, wine, mixed drinks and beer. The TV room has a big screen television with direct TV so you can catch up on the news, watch a movie, or view photos from your digital camera of your days adventures. Telephone service is available in the lodge and wireless internet service is available anywhere on the ranch.
