The heart of your western experience.
Trail Riding
ride in the heart of the shoshone national forest
With over 2.5 million acres of untouched forest and rugged landscape, there are endless possibilities for adventure that await you and your horse!
Here at Crossed Sabres Ranch, horses are our specialty.
Your riding experience will begin on Monday morning with an orientation lesson from Kenny before meeting your horse for the first time. With just over 40 trained and trustworthy horses in our herd, we are able to accommodate guests ranging from no experience to the seasoned veteran. You will be paired with a horse specifically chosen to match your ability level.
Our riding caters to your desires: be it a lesson in our arena, a short morning or afternoon ride, or an all-day ride with a packed lunch to explore beautiful meadows and high mountain views. Our seasoned wranglers will be with you throughout the week to share their extensive experience, teach you riding techniques, as well as share information about the areas you will be riding through. Wildlife such as buffalo, deer, and elk is abundant in our neck of the woods so be sure to keep a keen eye out. Curious to know more details about the riding program?
