Assistant Chef
Do you love cooking AND the outdoors? Do you want to grow your culinary skills while enjoying the Wild West? Being the assistant chef (sometimes referred to as “breakfast chef”) at Crossed Sabres may just be the perfect job for you. The breakfast chef is a huge part in helping us to provide our guests with the “vacation of a lifetime”.
We have a small kitchen team that prepares and serves our guests with three delicious, hearty meals per day. As the breakfast chef you will prepare a country style breakfast buffet for 30-50 people. You will also provide support to the head chef with lunch, kitchen cleanliness, receiving food deliveries, prepping, and baking.
Kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as we have a robust and detailed training system, to get you up to speed and ready to go for the season. Kitchen skills that will be helpful (but are not required):
- Baking
- Ability to follow recipes
- Basic knife skills
- Comfort using kitchen appliances
You will work closely with our housekeeping/waitstaff, so working well in a team setting is a must. Being self-sufficient and organized are helpful skills as well.
If you’re a hardworking, social, outgoing lover of the outdoors and the Wild West, slip on your boots (not in the kitchen though), and come join our team!
